Michigan Care Improvement Registry (MCIR)

Immunization Reporting and Meaningful Use

Eligible professionals and hospitals enrolled in the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Program may elect to report immunization data to the Michigan Care Improvement Registry, fulfilling the immunization registries data submission objective.

Criteria for Immunization Reporting

Eligible professionals and hospitals must be immunization providers with a valid MCIR Site ID to select immunization reporting as an immunization registries data submission objective.

Registration to Submit Immunization Reports

Eligible professionals and eligible hospitals who meet the criteria for selecting immunization reporting as the immunization registries data submission objective must complete a registration to submit immunization data within 60 days of the start of the meaningful use reporting period.

Upon completion of the registration an e-mail notice will be sent to the registrant with instructions on the next steps required to comply with meaningful use active engagement requirements.
