CQMRR – Electronic Submission of Clinical Quality Measures

he Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) would like to remind all Eligible Professionals (EPs) participating in the Medicaid Promoting Interoperability Program (Meaningful Use Program) in Michigan that for Program Year 2020 and 2021, Clinical Quality Measure (CQM) submission must be sent electronically utilizing files derived from your electronic health record system and sent to the Clinical Quality Measure Reporting and Repository Service (CQMRR, pronounced “Skimmer”).

IF an EP has not utilized the CQMRR process previously, they are strongly encouraged to familiarize themselves with the registering/onboarding and CQM submission process as early as possible. Please review the steps outlined in the CQMRR Register/Onboarding Guide.

For Medicaid Promoting Interoperability 2020 program year attestations, providers will need to:

  1. Formally submit their clinical quality measures via the CQMRR process.
  2. After a successful submission to CQMRR, complete the remaining portions of their attestation via the EHR MIPP portal (found within CHAMPS), as they have normally done in previous years, and submit their attestation.

Both steps need to be completed prior to the close of the tail period on March 31, 2021 at 11:59 PM.

For Medicaid Promoting Interoperability 2021 program year attestations, providers will need to:

  1. Formally submit their clinical quality measures via the CQMRR process.
  2. After a successful submission to CQMRR, complete the remaining portions of their attestation via the EHR MIPP portal (found within CHAMPS), as they have normally done in previous years, and submit their attestation.

Both steps need to be completed prior to the close of the tail period on September 30, 2021 at 11:59 PM.
