Want to be paid $63,750 for doing something you should do anyway?
The federal government is providing significant financial incentives for health care providers to start using electronic health records (EHRs). Each provider who meets the eligibility criteria (see below) can be paid up to $63,750. Medicaid is hosting free Medicaid Electronic Health Record Incentive Program meetings for health care providers throughout Michigan during March and April. These meetings will provide an overview of the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program and discuss provider eligibility, EHR "meaningful use" requirements, and 1st and 2nd year registration tips.

Who Should Attend?
  1. Interested Eligible Providers (EPs)
  2. Healthcare support staff wanting to learn about the incentive program
  3. 2nd year participants who want a sneak peek at Meaningful Use registration
Locations, dates, and times are shown below. To sign up for a meeting, choose a location and time below.

Eligibility Criteria for the Financial Incentive
  1. You must be an eligible provider: a physician, dentist, nurse practitioner, certified nurse midwife, or physician assistant (PA) practicing in a PA-led Federally Qualified Health Clinic or Rural Health Clinic.
  2. Your Medicaid patient volume must be at least 30% of your total patient volume. For pediatricians, the threshold is only 20%.
  3. Within a reasonable timeframe, you must implement certified EHR technology.
  4. Your use of EHR technology must eventually satisfy a number of "meaningful use" criteria.
